Dagueneau Wines

Once upon a time in Pouilly-Fumé, a daring winemaker named Didier Dagueneau enchanted the central Loire with his exquisite Sauvignon Blanc wines. With a twinkle in his eye and a curly moustache, he founded his domain in 1982 in the charming commune of Saint-Andelain.

Didier was no ordinary winemaker; he was a maverick! Before crafting wines, he raced sidecars through the vineyards, leaving everyone in awe. Later, he glided through the snow, embracing the exhilarating sport of sled dog racing. However, the allure of winemaking pulled him back.

Fearlessly challenging tradition, Didier breathed new life into Pouilly-Fumé. He championed biodynamics, tilled the land with majestic horses, and aged his wines in oak barrels, creating mesmerizing flavours.

Today, Domaine Dagueneau's legacy lives on, with a spellbinding selection of wines like Blanc Etc and single vineyard delights - Buisson-Renard, Pur Sang, Silex, and Astéroïde from ungrafted vines, each carrying Didier's wizardry.

In 2008, Didier's final adventure ended tragically, but his brave children, Louis-Benjamin and Charlotte have taken over the domaine and continue to craft profound Sauvignon Blanc and some of the world’s greatest white wines. Such is global demand for these wines that we receive a very limited allocation each year

A toast - to the fearless Didier Dagueneau, the wizard of winemaking!

Cheers to wonder and to flavour!
